Legislative action is a key component to realizing Council 216's goal of making our voices heard to save our offices, our jobs, improve our working conditions
and preserve civil rights. The chain of command does not end with Chair Cari Dominguez, but with our elected
officials in Congress. Representatives pay the most attention to people who can vote them in or out of office.
Throughout the coming months Action Faxes and letters will be posted on this site on issues ranging from the
ill-conceived National Contact Center to alerting Congress of the Chair's plan to gut the Federal Sector EEO process.
Just by downloading an 'Action Fax' or letter, faxing it or cutting
and pasting it into an e-mail, you can change the course of the EEOC. You can
also help Council 216's legislative action in numerous ways including:
networking with concerned organizations in your community; registering a new voter; becoming a legislative captain in
your office; and inviting a Congressperson to your next Union meeting.
